Anyone know the Part # for the Upgraded Bosch Intercooler Pump
I have searched and searched and cant find it.
I have heard that Merc changed their design 3 times and have finally perfected the intercooler pump. I have also heard that the newly designed Bosch pump is better than the Johnson CM30.
Anyone have the part number for the new pump?
Thanks
Nick

I had my waterpump replaced last summer at the stealer. Original Bosch Kuehlwasserpump (242,16 € + labor). It failed more than the first one. Replaced it by a CM 30 and never had an issue again and 50 % cheaper.

Read some of the info here...
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ses-bosch.html
Maybe it will change your minds...
Maybe not.. I am just doing alot of reading and i was positive i want to "Upgrade" to the Cm30, but now I am not so sure its an upgrade...

The CM30 can't keep up to the heat demands like the new OEM Bosh pump.
The CM30 might flow similarly but under higher load and pressure it can’t keep up to the OEM one.
I use a scanguage II and the IAT's skyrocketed when I used the CM30.
The dealer replaced my CM30 with the updated (7th gen) OEM pump and my car picked up 4 MPH at the end of the 1/4 mile. YES that's 4mph or roughly 40rwhp!
If you care about true performance then get the OEM pump. It's hard to feel an actual seat of the pants difference, but a dyno or 1/4 mile trap speed will tell the tale.

I just bought two CM30's, for an upcoming project of mine;
A reservoir tank in boot, with theese two installed, as well as the OEM in front...
Bad idea..??

I really don't know.. I have searched through dozens of threads that tell you to get the cm30, and that its the best thing ever...
Now I am starting to find people saying the new updated stock is the way to go. I ordered my cm30 a few days ago. Now i am not sure what i want to do either.

I tested the OEM back to back with the CM30. The OEM brought my intake temps down faster and kept them down longer during 1/4 mile runs.
Heat = HP loss on our cars big time!
RENNtech also says the CM30 doesn't work well in our cars for max power.
The pump is easy to swap out and bleed. Why don't you guys test it as well. I could have had a bad CM30.....who knows.....
Maxabo,
I think in your application the CM30 will work just fine.

good thread...interested in this topic as well so I'm subscribed
put the pn 000-500-03-86 into mercedesparts.com and it says for the 2007 - 2010 MB 5.5L V12???
wondering it it's all interchangeable between the IC pumps for the sl55 and sl600?? anyone can confirm this?

0 580 000 010 seems to be the new part number for anybody whom was still looking.
(Caveat.. I can't seem to find it online on oem parts' websites)

What did you want to know? It's a very simple install. Clamp the two hoses going to the pump, remove the 4 screws holding the pump, remove the harness clip from the rear, and then install the new pump.

If anyone needs a pump, let me know, I believe I have an extra in my tool box I would sell, I had it replaced and after 5k or so I went to a bigger heat exchanger and pump setup, this was replaced a year about two years ago and has been off for almost a full year
