SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Sl65?
My guess, is there will be an SL65 with the same engine, a Bi-turbo V12.
and sicne its TT, why no go to RUF, and void the warranty and risk your life, by getting this engine tuned to give 700+HP?
May the Almighty give me the money, you know where Im headed first!!!
Lastly, about coming to the US, guys, at AMG in Affalterbach in Germany ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. If youc an afford one, then you can also afford a return ticket to Germany in order to order one and get it delivered to the US from Germany. If for legal reasons, its not allowed here, then you guys don't know what your missin'
Peace and good health to all.
Sorry, forgot to mention the engine will generate 600 plus hp with over 725 lb-ft of torque...where will the madness end? On a related note, it appears BMW will be left behind with their E60 M5 having a V10 generating 525 or so hp.g

In this month's Automobile magazine MB announces that in 2003 they will deliver to the USA the CL65 and S65 with the SL65 AMG to follow later. The engine is a drilled out AMG 5.5 L V12 Twin Turbo.
1. AMG distinguishes their production cars from the "special" small manufacturing series. Even in Germany, this will be a car made in the low hundreds, not in the thousands.
It's hard to imagine that Mercedes would create the service, support and training activities required for the dozens of imports. They couldn't even offer 19" AMG rims for the SL55...
2. According to AutoBild in Germany, the CL65 will be around $200K. I thought that it was around $180K. I believe so far none have been built for customers, just demo cars. Does anyone know?
