SL55 PICS FINALLY!!
At long last, here it the finished result of an entire winter of customizing! Headers and air intake upgrades, Wolverine Claws, fully chromed vents and grills, 20" Savinni chrome rims with black chrome trim, lowered with hand rolled fenders, custom badges with carbon fiber interior.

If you like it I am happy for you, but in my opinion it has too much going on, the sides have too many badges and takes the classic look away from the car. Why did you put the mesh gray?..seems not to blend in with the car since it is black...love the wheels though.

LMAO Just like with home owners, some people don't deserve to have nice things in life, they just "F" them up. I hate some of my neighbors, because they buy an expensive nice home, but don't take care of the yard nor the home. Now I see an SL that looks like it just had a Flavor Flav face lift, uggggly! Dude, sell it, you will get more props in a Sentra with better gas mileage.

Ah, to be a lightning rod for just a few hours! Okay, to defend this customized SL55 I will provide my logic:
1) Chromed Mesh (not painted grey as some suggest) - this is to replicate the Aston Martin and Jaguar XKR look which are two of my favorite cars when looking at them head on and frankly the SL55 looks stunning with the mesh done like this - this is just my opinion and I respect the opinions of others
2) Wolverine Claws - these are simply amazing when you see them on the SL55 in person as I love the side fins of the car to begin with but the problem is that the 500 also has them and it is very difficult to tell the difference between a 500 and our much superior SL55s...again, this is my opinion.
3) Lorinser side skirts - whether or not you like side skirts is your preference...personally I love them.
4) Extra badges on side of car - as you have seen with many Lorinser or other body/engine enhancements, they put their badges below the side fins as I have on mine...I prefer the AMG badge with red stripes added to the Lorinser badge...again, just my opinion.
5) Carbon Fiber Interior - I love carbon fiber interiors on any car, especially a full kit on the SL.
6) Savinni 20" Rims - let's face it, the stock SL55 rims look like an engine turbine and really do need to be replaced...Savinni make exceptional rims and they look stunning.
7) Engine enhancements/lowering - making this car faster is a good thing.
Overall, I appreciate ALL comments and do not take them personally. I love my SL55. It turns heads everywhere I drive it, is certainly NEVER mistaken for an SL500, and when you see it in person is not 'blingy' as it may look in the pictures.
Cheers!

Agreed...a red car with red rims wouldn't do it for me either but opinions are like 'a'holes...everyone's got one! And hey, you own an SL55 so you can't be all bad!

SL55 AMG
wow lol as you'll come to find there are some harsh critics on this board...lol they only mean well though I'm sure. As far as I'm concerned it's not my taste either but if you're happy it's your car and that's all that really matters at the end of the day.
