Sl 55 amg front grille
Hi!
I've got a 2005 sl 55 amg and I am looking for a new front grille. I want to have the one on the 2007 sl 55 but it is hard to find. Does anybody know where I can find one and most important if it fits or have to be custom made. Found a car with one so it's not impossible

you want a 3 slat grille. They do not fit exactly. They have to be spaced and maybe double side tapped . The opening is too big. But they will work with some customization. All grilles about $600. Look for used. Or call Joey at Hendricks Mercedes, he gives 15%

Several MB's Superperformance MK III Cobra
Try ww.parts.com. They show the grille for a 2007 SL65 for $365 versus the dealer price of $640. I have ordered from them before (grille for an S550) and they do sell OEM Mercedes parts.

The only copies Ive seen are deffinately different that stock. You can tell. The 07 3 slat has chrome forward slats that attach to the silver slats. 6 different ones. You can compare that when you look. I found one used on ebay for $100. If you want to buy mercedes you can call Joey at Hendricks Mercedes. He will give 15%.

Will the Distronic work with that grill?
The Chrome-Tec grill will not work with Distronic!
Wichtig!
Perfekt und ohne Modifizierung passend bei allen SL Modellen ohne DISTRONIC (Abstandsregeltempomat), NICHT passend bei Fahreugen mit DISTRONIC !
