Is a Quaife LSD detectable by dealers?

I'm getting my new (to me) SL63 this evening. I've decided to get an LSD as my first mod, either a Quaife or a Kleeman. Are these detectable by MB dealers?
I really want to maintain my full warranty, so I don't run into any issues like on my renntech SL 600.

TIA,
David Shapiro

subscribing to the thread to follow your progress as interested to do the same to my Sep 2008 built SL 63 AMG, MBHK did advise earlier the after market fitted LSD is NOT detectable electronically or until they open the differential case.

LSD is a 100% mechanical modification. It works well with the standard ESP. So with the computer they won't see it. But looking under the car is shows for a mechanic as I think cooling fins are added to the axle. Not sure for quaife diff, but the AMG diff for sure.

Latest word from my local, extremely well-respected local tuner, is that Quaife doesn't make a unit for the SL63. He recommended the Renntech unit, $5500 installed. Ouch!

Im not touching my SL63. Im waiting for another year and dumping it for a used SLS. $$$ to HP ratio in these cars is off the scale. Hell its cheaper to Mod a Ford GT.

Yeah the RennTech LSD is bad a$$.... they co-developed it with OS-Giken I believe. These are 100% locking differentials and are race quality built parts

I think that may be the only mod worth doing, for a street car.
