*SL55 TRANSFORMATION AFTER MODS !!
We were given the task to transform a customers AMG SL55 into a torque monster,Also the goal was the following,
- Loads of torque
- Sensible exhuast note
- Lots of power
- Sharp throttle response
- The following mods were done...
- 2 x k&n filters
- 1 3/4 headers
- High flow stainless cats
- Dual 3inch system
- Powerchip Custom Tune to suit mods
- Stock rear mufflers were retained
- The result was a healthy 493hp on a cold run & a consistent 485hp at the treads compared to the stock run 416hp,an initial look see's a 70hp gain which is a large gain.A close look at the dyno data sheets will show you the torque coming out of this monster is phenominal 1000nm's.On the road it was torque city breaking traction continously,the throttle was super sharp and engine was super responsive.The exhaust note was awsome,it matched the grunt this torque monster was putting out with no drone at cruising speeds.The data sheets and video links are below for those interested.
