Question about selling my SL55
Good day everyone. I have been trying to sell my 2003 SL55 for quite some time now. There is nothing wrong with the car and it is in great condition. I have it down to $33K. What will it take to sell this car?

Time and/or lower price. I have been trying to sell my Qvale ever since I bought my SL a month ago, & I have had no bites and have dropped the price $3k so far. This is normally a hard time of year to sell a car, people are traveling for the holidays & worrying about buying Xmas presents, and on top of that the winter weather doesn't motivate one to want to put the top down & enjoy the rain, snow, or cold.
BTW, just so you know, I bought my '03 for what you are selling yours for. Mine didn't come with a warranty, but mine only has about 1/4 as many miles as yours.

Please don't take offense....
but just some info.
1) Miley performance cars are a tough go, anytime of the year. Won't be long before you cross 70, next time gotta get out sooner. Would be easier at much less $$, but that's probably not what you want or need to do.
2) She looks nice, but that is a tough color for resale.
3) As an individual, you have little or no options, or can offer help, with financing. Payments for the average guy on 30k for 48 months (if you can get that on an 03) are going to be around $750 a month. LOTS of alternatives out there for that money. Again, there is somebody out there, just makes it much tougher.

Price it for 1500.00 more than Carmax offers you. They'll offer true auction value, add to that your 1500.00, and someone is gonna get a good deal.
Not going to be able to move it, unless it's priced accordingly, considering the time of year, economy, etc...

hold on to your sl if you can...these cars aren't selling well at all....you'll lose your shirt.
