Rear window side trim
I bought some replacement rear window side trim for my SL and was hoping to install it this weekend. From looking at the replacement parts, it looks as if the old snaps out and the new snaps back in. I don't see any place for fasteners. I searched for DIYs, but did not find any.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. I have never replaced trim before and was thinking a set of plastic trim tools would be a good idea. I plan to post a DIY on this once I have mine done. I just don't want it to be a what not to do thread.

The old ones pull off from the bottom. I used a pair of vice grips to grab the bottom of the old ones, just pull down and they'll come off. Don't worry about messing the old ones up since you're putting brand new ones on. When you put the new ones on, make sure all the clips line up appropriately before sliding into place. Make sure to push down hard and up at the same time to lock the new ones into place. If you end up sliding it on and going over the top of one of the attachment clips, you can always pull it off and try again, but thats a PITA so it's easier to get it right the first time. FYI, I think there may be a DIY thread on benzworld.org

^ thanks for the help. I'm saving $300 by not having the stealer do it. If all goes well, it will be worth it.

Now that the trim is nice and black again, I notice the rubber seal is less than black and maybe a bit weathered. I tried some "tire black" to make it darker. Does anyone know of a way to get the seal black?
I mean the area between the trim and the window. You can see it in the photo above.
