Most owners do( your a fool if you dont) . A beautiful car , but the repairs can break you easily. Not many companies are writing for the SL 55 's because of the costs in parts alone. I got mine just before chrysler stopped and it has been worth every penny and more.
I found a good honest(wow both of those in one sentence) indy shop here in south Florida that takes care of all the paperwork and treats me well.
Fidelity I have heard still writes but you have to make sure that they know its a 55 and not a 500. easy care is crap, so please dont waste time with them.
Its buyer beware ,read the small print and make sure your shop excepts the plan before you put down a cent. Most will ask for an inspection prior to binding so be prepared for that.

easy care is crap, so please dont waste time with them.
Had Easy Care's "Total Care" package for almost 2 years: Paid for itself.
$3K for the 3/36 contract and so far they paid for the 2 front Airmatic Struts replaced at the MB dealer plus an AC/Heat valve.
$4K in billings covered so far.
If ya got some dirt on Easy Care, let me know what it is..?
