I have the stock silver rims......my car is silver, as well......pano roof.

I have been contemplating powder coating these rims a gloss black. I think they look beautiful in stock silver.....but I've always been a black rim. I've never had a silver car with black rims, though.....I don't want to take away from look of car. What do you guys think? Paint or keep the way they are?

With a silver car, I think they lok better in silver. The black wheels detract from the car too much.

I would go with black if you tint your windows and/ or smoke out your tail lights. If you are leaving your windows/ tail lights un-tinted I would go with silver and keep it stock. There needs to be some black on the car to match the wheels. You might also consider power-coating them instead of painting them gloss black.

Yeah, I'm going to keep them silver.....I think it looks classier on a silver car. It's (silver color) just one of the few colors that is hard to match with black rims.

I would look into it some more. If you do it properly it turns out really great. Ive seen some silver mercedes with black wheels, i like them. You can get powder coating in different shades as well. The pic u posted i too dark and glossy. A lighter shade of black would look better. Carbon fiber accents would compliment black wheels beautifully. This link is a clk with carbon fiber accents and black wheels.

For your car, I was thinking:
-black/dark grey power coat on wheels
-window tint, smoked tail lights and side markers
-Carbon fiber grill - you can find them all over ebay, or get your current grille color matched with your wheels at the same time.
-Carbon fiber accents like: front lip, rear spoiler, mirror housing, rear defuser, grille... etc

Silver and carbon fiber go really well together, if you put some thought into it you will be really happy with the result.
