I am going to be purchasing an 07 SL55 next week. It does have the 030 package. I was wondering how much worse the car will drive as far a smoothness, and comfort having that package vs not having the 030 package.

I know it will handle better, but I am really into a smooth ride. I know it will not drive like my S550, but want to know how much the 030 package affects comfort. Thanks!

Having had 3 SL55's and 2 with 030 I cna say that there is little difference if any in comfort. The only part I find annoying is the LSD shudders at slow speed while turning.

Thanks for answering the comfort question. That was a major concern for me. Can you tell me what LSD is? I did a quick Google search, but did not find it. Sorry, but really new to this AMG stuff. Thanks!

LSD stands for Limited Slip Differential. It basically helps the rear tires maintain traction under heavy acceleration.
