Close Hood (05 SL55)
... My hood is closed.

Where is the microswitch, sensor, latch (which one or both) that needs to be replaced.

So I closed the hood and the warning went away.

I'm telling you I've closed the hood and the intermittent warning came back. This time, it stayed away.

Remove hood. If the light comes on- at least you know it is telling the truth.
