motor/engine mounts for SL55
When taking off my exhaust to do my diff install I noticed my OEM hydralic motor mounts are leaking. What are you guys running for engine mounts? I noticed there are Lemfoerder and Febi aftermarket mounts available online for $75-90. Has anyone tried these? Are they also hydraulic like the OEM or are they solid rubber? How does the NVH compare to stock mounts?

While there are some aftermarket R230 parts available, including motor mounts, chose wisely. For example, motor mount replacement on Mercedes' (especially V8's) are very time consuming-as in costly. We have no interest in a come back, so we use only factory mounts. By the way, the Febi mounts are made WAY east of the EEC 
. We have been bitten more by aftermarket rubber components than another other parts. We even have seen tie rod joint boots that don't last a year!
Typically Lemforder, & TRW, and yes, SACHS, usually are OK, Febi.....depends, definitely not our first choice. Just because Febi bought Bilstein doesn't mean they brought up all their products to Bilstein quality.
Balance pennies saved now vs dollars spent later paying the labor a second time.
