SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL55 Parktronic retrofit?

SL55 Parktronic retrofit?
Hi all! New to the site and new to Mercedes ownership - picked up a nice 55 for the summer. Car was well priced but not much spec, hence the question in the title. Can it be done and is it worth the cost? The car has a very slight scuff on a front corner and on opposite rear, both only affecting the strips that would house the park sensors if fitted so it seems a good idea to swap out the lot if possible.
TIA, Rob

Hi Rob,
It can be done (I had it done). If it's worth the cost is up to you. But a new bumper is more expensive (I wrecked my bumper first, then decided I needed parktronic :-/ )
You should have a Mercedes specialist (or a good dealer) do it, cause you'll need some original parts (also in the interior). All in all it won't be cheap. I remember it cost me a couple of grand to have parktronic and distronic retrofitted to my car, but that was 6 or 7 years ago...

That said, I have not heard from him in some time. Is he still doing work?

Thank you for all the suggestions guys, I probably should have mentioned that I'm in the UK which will make using the guy you speak of a little difficult. Also the mbenznl.nl website doesn't seem to work for me?
I'd like to do as much of the work as possible myself but I'm not going to learn the coding side of things just for this job so I'd need that work done. Can you suggest anywhere where I can find a parts list or anything similar? I'd quite like the Distronic too while I'm at it, if the parts aren't silly prices.
Thanks again.

If you don't mind a trip to the Netherlands it won't be such a problem. Make a weekend out of it People from Norway and Greece even drive up to him.
The site seems to work, however, the forum changes the links (to track outgoing traffic?) so you have to wait a second or so before the site opens.
Mods, this might be a bug?
