NEW CCW's Lightweight Racing Setup finally installed
And yes after new wheels it needs to be lowered further, dropped on its ballzz is the correct term I believe
Yeah the 20"s look better but are purely lame Fashion wheels, as I'm into Pure Perf & speed, the 20"s weighed nearly 76 lbs each vs 18"s @ 52-53 lbs ea the Unsprung weight savings is Titanic & the SL drives completely different & savage like, not to mention it hooks on the streets w/just little traction light flicker then WHAM! Though the extra hp/tq released now has the Disco Triangle blinking @ 80+ mph yes 80mph lol but most likely a combo due to soft huge tire walls flexing @ speed sets off Traction cntrl etc
I'll make a quick vid of Speedometer @ different speeds showing crazy ESP blink @ crazy speeds.

NEW CCW's Powder Coated Matte-blk 18x13 18x10 same size as the SLR 722 GT Race Cars though weigh only 23-24 lbs..
Now the Double-Stuffed Oreo's!!! (Yes I bought 8 tires 2 complete sets as I couldn't decide which I would like better) 345/30 BFG Drag Radials or Toyo Drags 335/30 both are tasty on the streets no milk required lol..
PS Another HUGE Thanks to Chris @FXAutoDesign (Forum Sponsor here) For making this ALL seemless/perfect transaction truly GREAT person/owner/shop to deal with

Glad you guys dig it! My objective here was to attain as much traction as possible while still retaining MB's good looks.. My Anarchy Turbo/Header upgrades are due any week & coupled to E85 Race tune I will see 1000+ rwhp & 12-1300 TQ I need every bit of traction I can get..

Yo Sun you & me both, I have to say this SL's by far & away the BEST car I've ever owned. It's the longest I've ever owned a perf oriented car too @ 5+ yrs it never gets old to me especially since I only drive it every couple wks.. Lastly the body mods really kept the exterior interesting & up to date looking so as I see it it's now timeless & classic etc
PS Sun, we need to meet up & @ least give you a ride etc.. The perf of this thing is so removed from stock it flat boggles the mind, the mods I have added make it ride smoother than stock (IE ride is pure butta') & performance even w/out upgraded turbs YET, has the linear constant excelleration one gets w/ANY modded 275TT but my mods has added something I've never seen or exp from ANY modded 600/65 it's power delivery when stabbing pedal is instant & VIOLENT exactly what was missing from every other v12tt I've ever driven or raced, it mirrors a Stage 5-6 E55k the way it's instant off idel violent snap engages @ ANY rpm etc
I can barely imagine what the GT3076's & E85 will do to this creation of mine

Good luck with the progress on the Project!
Would be interesting to see that car on a Standing mile event.
Please take also your time and speed with a GPS Performance Box and make a video of your run.
For now, but this is only my personal opinion, Dbasons55 Brabus Bullit from GAD can be seen as the Benchmark in M275-Tuning. Now it has approx.900HP Crank and 1400 NM of torque (Crank) and the car is running smooth and linear as a stock car.
German Car Magazine Autobild Sportscars has tested his car from 0-300 KM/H in 23,5 Sek. with pump fuel (average of different runs). And this was with big traction issues, slipping clutch+and as a result very slow gearshifts (which is fixed now). Car is also running 0,2 bar more boost after the test and transmission was reinforced again.
If you can get the Big Turbos running, which I hope you will achieve, maybe this changes the game again. But it is not easy to get the whole project running reliable in the end, especially transmission, drivetrain, software etc...
GAD could also go even further with their Project, if they would have seen the need for it. Their Turbos are far away from being maxed out, which the owner of the company told me. But for now, everyone is happy with the outcome.
The car is running great and reliable on the street and all problems were finally sorted out.

M275 is a different engine IE the V12tt not the M157 V8tt

850-870 rwp has already been achieved on 93 octane, w/E85 race tune 1000+ rwhp is a given
The M157-156 Turbo upgrades utilize stock turbos merely upgrade the Compressor wheels inside the Stock MB turbo housing making it 30% larger than stock (to my understanding) The Speedriven upgrades throw away the super restrictive Manifolds & create a shorty type header manifold & completely toss puny oem Turbs & replace w/Garrett GT3076 state of the art turbo housing w/tricked out Tial Compressor wheels this is light years ahead of GAD motors package etc also includes fully built tranny package

Stock trannys good till about 680-700 RWHP then..
It starts slipping etc.. Mine will be sent to Speedriven for full upgraded clutch packs etc.. ALL V12tt's come w/Maybach Tranns in stk form which are extremely stout but add enuf hp/tq & upgrading is obvious

Hmm....
Then add Speedriven IC's /HE/ & Custom CAI & trunk IC reservoir retune some proper lightweight wheels & 2 piece rotors ( to free up additional drivetrain hp/tq loss) you'll see 635/750 rwhp rwtq on 91 pump gas, then retune w/Q16 or better still E85 you'll see 690+ rwhp 850+ rwtq lastly tweek the stock wastegate bipass valve to stay closed & create over boost IE 28-30 psi & things get REALLY interesting

Thanks for the info. My car already has a H/E and no mufflers, and made 494/648 on a Mustang dyno (I know numbers mean squat) but that's my baseline. Planning on a ECU/TCU soon, so thinking I should be 550-570whp and 730-750wtq back on this dyno...
Really love the wheels. Are they special order? Need a spare set, mostly for some DR's...Really would love to get this in the 10's..thinking I could be there with the flashes...

& Speedriven has already perfected their GT3076 turbos & larger manifolds, it's on half a dozen cars though NONE belong to forum members or owners who share info w/web etc

Hmm, it is a pity that no one of these builds seem to share information or videos, or times at the standing mile etc. And in another forum you read some builds had to be detuned to 700 WHP.
If i would have such a built which is running fine, I would be glad to compare it to other builds...
Mo's GAD Brabus Bullit has the perfect designed Brabus-Manifolds with fully upgraded custom internals (not only 30% like on the website). For me this is a perfect Turbo-Set-Up for the V12, the performance is proven and still a lot on the table if there is need for more.
Please make some videos of your car or the other builds and share them, and then we know a little more about the real performance on the street.

10/22/10 10:43:01 AM 183.0 MPH

10/22/10 2:32:20 PM 174.8 MPH
10/22/10 3:35:34 PM 182.3 MPH
10/22/10 4:37:50 PM 185.6 MPH

10/24/10 2:24:12 PM 191.1 MPH
10/24/10 3:29:30 PM 185.9 MPH
According to Soulsearchers "quotet" 197,7 MPH from Texas Mile March 2010 I found the post from "Exotic Metal55" - Trap speeds from the Texas Mile - from 25.10.2010 :
Last March 2010 they had the first time in 12 events strong tail wind, so many of the 180MPH Range cars ran 10 MPH faster. These cars were 10-20MPH slower this time (October 2010)
Now for comparison from Moscow Unlimited 500 Standing mile:
Gorilla / Evotech Stage4 CLS63 qouted with 820 HP Crank = 189,5 MPH = 305 KM/H
Or Evotech E63 Stage 3 aprox. 730 HP Crank = 184,5 MPH = 297 KM/H
Hmm, interesting. I assume that in Texas Mile October 2010 there was a mix in wind and weather conditions (also with cross and headwinds at some times), but I think over 3 days it gives quite a good picture what the SL600 from Soulsearcher was capable of.
Now that would be interesting what the GAD Bullit could make in a Standing mile event.

Were your CCW wheels custom made for your car? What I mean is, do they have a 66.56mm hub center? Or are you using hubcentric spacers?
Just for fun, I just went out in the garage and swapped my wheels from my Audi RS6 (Volk VR-G2's, 19x9.5) onto my SL65. Haven't driven it, but fit seems perfect. I love the look of the these wheels and they are light too.
BBS CH-R (20x10.5) with Hankook 305-25-20 is 58lbs.
Volk VR G2(19x9.5) with PSS 275-30-19 is 43lbs.
I guess I know what I am using for my track wheels...for now, until I can get some CCW's...
Hubcentric spacers are on the way. Set of 4, 73.1mm to 66.56mm...$8.99 with free shipping...
