I said it once so I will say it again. The way to increase power on a turbo engine is to increase boost pressure and ecu adjustments to cater for the extra boost. All these extras, intercoolers, exhausts, manifolds will give very
little extra power or none without increasing boost, and they are only worth fitting if you are going to run very high boost, for say track day. Then you have the worry of throwing a rod or blowing up the gearbox.
My 63 has just a remap increasing power to around 650, that's it, and it goes
like a bat out of hell. The cost was only a grand as I know the guy and give
him all my business. God knows how much the op car has cost, and I bet
it's no quicker than mine.

I think you will find to keep the warranty on the engine and gearbox, all
sensible tuners are giving around the same, around 650 bhp.
Obviously the thing that makes the difference will be how much weight is
inside the car. If you are a bear swilling 300 lbs and your mate or wife
is around the same, and your boot is full of beer then you will be at a disadvantage should you meet a fellow 63 owner with the same tweak, but
he is a emaciated vegetarian with a girlfriend called twiggy and a boot full
of cotton wool I think we can safely say our skinny friend is going to blow you away. That is why just a remap will suffice, your big intercoolers will
be of no use unless you run BIG boost, then your risking a very expensive
bill for a new engine and box.

Ha Ha Ha what ME take my beautiful SL63 on a drag strip !!
I don't need a drag strip to know how much extra I have, the chance of me meeting something that will give me a hard time is negligible, you just
don't see supercars very often, in 6 months only 1 911 tried it on, which was
quickly despatched. The SL63 re mapped is an awesome creature.

SL63 with Renntech lowering module installed | SL63 mods
Lowering module installed today.
It will have to wait for the weekend to program everything so for now its just basic settings of median low and standard heights.
Good news .. my custom 1 of 1 hood emblem is ready for installation.

Why are you bending over backwards trying to prove how everyone else in the world loves your mods & we are the anomaly here?
the bright orangeish-red accents look like you got a gift certificate to Pep Boys. Give it a rest already..

I'd have to agree, I think a saw a Michael Jordan inspired Camry sporting the same color scheme and emblem coloring.....Time to move on... Sad to see not much going on for the converts in the winter months, but its understood since most get some time off this time of year.

Ha! I'm friends with that girl, and her boyfriend.
Tell Heather and Rob that Clayton says hi. Meh, I'll probably see her first, nevermind.

^ hey Benzo, what are you thoughts on the red accents on the OPs R231? Just curious. I always thought the mods on your R230 were nicely done. aggressive, tasteful, yet respectful of the beautiful lines of the SL at the same time.
#69
My opinion on the red is...well...probably like everyone lese that is trying to be nice. I don't drive my convertable now, because I have major traction issues...unlike the minor traction issues when its warm...

Don't like the red accents at all, in pics at least. Maybe it looks different in person but it just doesn't look right in pics, in my opinion. Kind of reminds me of some middle eastern members R 230's from back in the day. Can't remember who it was, but they even painted a lot of the interior bits red. Hated it.
I'd have to see this car in person, but not really feeling it on my little screen here on my phone.
