Traded my 500 for a 2007 SL55, what a difference. I'm thinking about installing the Eurocharge Stage 1 kit and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this company.
Thanks in advance

Have had the Eurocharged remap and SC pulley fitted and very happy. Make sure you also replace you IC water pump and fit the additional Heat Exchanger as you might suffer from SC overheating. I have a 2004 SL55 and even though it was fast before it it a lot quicker and smoother now. Fortunately I have also fitted an LSD so able to put the power down. Enjoy your SL55.

I too have installed the smaller SC pulley, the belt wrap kit, and had the Eurocharge tune to my '03 SL55 (bought it in July 2013). It IS quicker, and I like the change. All in all, it's very straight forward to do (changed 12 year old serpentine belt, while doing this). I had to heat the head of the Supercharger pulley bolt to get it to come loose, but everything else was straightforward. Be sure you have the Bosch IC pump with the last two digits '10', not the one with those as '03'.

Eurocharged (EC) is a respected bunch on this forum. Tons of the E55 guys run EC stuff. I have an EC dyno tune. Definitely look into the smaller SC pulley. In the older days of modding, slippage was an issue so most went to a bigger counter pulley (me included) to over spin the SC. It creates more rotating mass and some counter pulleys have had issues staying on. Also, as the guys mention above, our motors are very susceptible to heat soak which robs power like crazy. Adding an additional heat exchanger reduces this issue.

If I read the Eurocharge site correctly Stage 1 kit raises power to 557hp and 617lb ft torque!?
Does anyone know if the dyno is at the wheels?
For $1500 that is a smoking deal! It appears this includes an OBDII flash tune as well?

I spoke Jerry at Eurocharge and he recommends the stage one kit and I'm going to use his idler pulleys as well. The stage one kit comes with 180mm crank pulley kit,an i/c pump, new heat exchanger and ECU reflash. All in all in a good deal.

Are you asking if the quoted increase in power is at the crank or wheels? If so, I am guessing the 557HP and 617 Torque is at the crank. I have mods beyond stage one and the last dyno showed about 490 HP and 540 torque at the wheels.

That being the case, have you considered the smaller SC pulley instead? IMO it is the best way to go. If you still want more boost after that, you can add a larger crank pulley. You would then need a new tune, but one of the cool things about EC is that additional tunes are free.

It's still a good deal, I'm going to install it in a month or so. Thanks again for the sound clip on the cat delete, definitely doing that too.
And for anyone on the fence about moving up to a 55, it's worth the money.
