SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: sl55 subwoofer enclosure?
im about to have the audio done to it.
i already have dash kit double din
front 3 way components
& amp
but im wondering do you guys know where i can buy a custom subwoofer enclosure or who makes them in the bay area please help thank you

frequency road noise. My 63 had the worse sub I have ever heard, if you
turned it up it could completely mask upper bass mid and top. The trouble
is you need a separate volume control on the sub so you can increase the
bass from the bass/mid drivers, without increasing the sub, by increasing
the bass control it seems to increase both sub and upper bass frequencies.
Personally I rather have just good bass drivers working down to about 40Hz
than have a sub.. This is my thoughts, some of the latest cars may have separate controls. I like the Bose system in my 65, it seems to have better control than the Harmon system in the 63, sorry if this is boring..

The key to preventing phasing is a good crossover and equalizer more than a good volume control. Box design has a lot to do with it too. Sealed boxes seem to blend better with the upper sound stage.
