headlight mod thread
hey guys, interested in seeing some headlight modifications for the r230 sl you guys have done/seen.
ive done literally every set of lights on every car ive owned, led work, etc. so got a bit bored today working from home and modded these. unsure how i feel about the dark lights on a dark car. but as with any blackout, headlights show alot of the abuse the headlights take that dont show up with chrome. wetsanding, buffing and uv protective clearcoat getting done this week to bring them back to perfect
black chrome housings
gloss black shroud w/ pearlescent clear
5mm leds
total time start to finish, around 5 hours. these were one of the easiest headlights get apart.

^i bought a bunch of pre wired (w/resistor) leds, 12v ready, 5mm leds, and used a 5mm drill bit to fiish the edges where i mounted them in the shroud. taking apart these lights is easy, if youd like to know how i can shoot ya a diy

Led conversion having problems
Hello my name is Marcus I'm new to this forum and site. I have an 05 el500 and recently bought some led headlights. My problem is when I turn them on they both light up but the passenger side turns right back off. Is this a wiring issue or is there something I'm missing. Please help thanks in advance.
