Try CCW John the owner is the BEST! & turn around time 4-6 wks for a brand new set of lightweight wheels of your choice (lots of styles to choose from & VERY reasonable vs say HRE's
) These 18x13 for example weigh 23-24 lbs ea
@ If memory serves $3k-3500.00 total (wheels only)Last edited by Thericker; Feb 11, 2015 at 11:25 PM.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

The SLR722 GT's get 18x13 RR 18x12 Frnt (Frnt way too wide for streets) it would just create ton of power robbing drag, w/ understeering like a snowplow, on the streets etc..
Isn't the SLR722 GT just flat out gorgeous? I wish they made a street version or an aftermarket kit that looked EXACTLY like this.. I would sell a kidney to buy 1

The reason why the road cars have narrower front tires is to make sure the car understeers if you go in too hot as this is the best way not to kill yourself, as opposed to spinning and facing on coming traffic.
If you want better handling increase the front tire size and camber to give the best turn in and handling however be ready to balance the back end as it comes around.
Check out the z28 track speck with 305mm square setup. It is posting some very quick lap times.

Edit update: Almost forgot this thread was mostly about my new RangeRover lol.. Already ordered the perf 2.5" pulley (only size available from ANY tuner so I bought it from the TOP english tuning co, it's due to be delivered tomorrow w/300 hiflo cats & ALL the fixings to recreate another Elephant Trunk CAI, having Jeremy OE tuning do full Dyno-Tune (if possible 109 race tune too?) either next wk or the wk after..
Just a Caned tune & pulley on 5.0 RR brings hp to 620-640, adding a real CAI is new ground as I couldn't find any quality true CAI mods on these Rovers, so gains to be had are unknown until I build one. All that + the Hiflo's on my Startech exhaust should bring this lil' Angry Rover up to 670+ BHP & 650+ BTQ (I'm under guesstimating, if the CAI adds half as much as it does to my SL, & I can get a 109 tune too? We'll see on the Dyno I guess..

not sure about the 18's but at 13 incheswide sort of makes you forget the 20's.
I would like to take you up on your offer, but can you tell me, is there a place in the UK that can supply and fit, or maybe send my car to the states.
Have you a rough idea how much to supply and fit.
I would be looking at June time, I will put a post on the forum.
Thanks again S8.

PS I like your different kit choice
& great to see some different quality kits still being made for the R230 etcI'm sure it'll look proper once finished
What kind of boost could I get using 93 fuel and no custom wastegate. I am upgrading my turbos so I should be increasing air flow quite a bit without the extra boost however I would like to know how far I can go without the custom wastegate. Would you recommend me going down that route?
I have Carlsson 1/10 Ultra lights 20" that I got before I went down the wide body route. They only weigh just over 20lb for 20" which is great however now I am having to run huge spacers to get them to fit which is far from ideal.
I will need to order some custom offset 20" wheels for the new kit, I am not sure what to go with.
