Command swap D2B to MOST
I need to replace the command HU in my 2003 SL55 has a faulty screen luckily I have a complete 2005 model parts car available. I've done allot of reading on the forum which has highlighted that the systems are different D2B & MOST, but couldn't find a conclusive list of differences overall. Can anyone share their knowledge of what other parts I'd need to swap over aside from HU, CD changer & Amp to get the 05 system working in an 03 model.. Are the wiring/connectors common to both? Anything else I've missed?

He can provide useful info (he may have created a DIY for this) and they sell adapter cables for some comand updates (perhaps this application)

I recall before seeing a detailed account of a 2002SL55 (same as US 2003 sl55) that he upgraded to a newer comand (may have jumped a generation in that upgrade, however) ...
Richard and his outfit are top-notch (I deal with them regularly as they are one of my distributors for the "paddle converter module" which I manufacture).
If you end up not wanting to replace the D2b with Most .... I could give you a good deal on the working headunit that I just pulled out of my 2003 Sl55 recently (to replace with a 7" android radio).

Your write up given has given me the confidence to go ahead with the swap.. Only thing is the cluster? I'm not clear if my cluster will be compatible and cost of replacement's are ridiculous.
