Need an engine for a 2005 SL55

Hey guys is anyone selling a R230 SL55 engine? Or any advice on locating one for sale? Mine blew with only 29k miles. Thanks in advance!

Still at the shop but they believe the head bolts loosened and allowed oil and fluid in cylinders and threw a rod. They've had that happen before and I guess there's an upgrade on the head bolts. Might want to have your mechanic check yours. I'll post more as I get info.

There's another thread where a guy is breaking up an SL55. I'm sure the motor is available.

Your failure is extremely rare... but everything is fixable.

I agree, found. 2003 with 31k on it so I'm good there just scared ****less since this one blew if it will happen again. I've got a smaller pulley from Shardul on it and a turner from OE Tuning but nothing else.

Anything can happen and it's unfortunate that this happened to the OP but, those viewing this thread I wouldn't lose sleep this sounds like a very rare issue. I have 115,000 on my 2005 SL55 never had any issues.
