SL65 HE
Hello.
Can someone help me out?
I need a picture about the HE at SL65?
My car is an SL600 and I know it's smaller than SL65.
I also wonder if the SL65 HE is "bolt on" at the SL600?
I want upgrade my HE intercooling. I have already Eurocharged HE but I want more.
Thank you.
Juha

Look. I found this info. Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series Heat exchanger located like this. Two piece. One at the left side and one at the right side. Big ones.
So why not for the wide body cars? The tunnels is also there... it must be very effective solution.

I believe the stock HE on the SL65 sits between AC condenser and Radiator. Mine has an aftermarket additional HE right in front, seen in one of my pics in the single turbo build.

I have decide to go this BS route.
Today I have asked from two different manufacturer offer's of two "cross flow" heat exchangers.
My opinion is the locations is the best of all. No heat from the engine.

Can you ask your tech one question regarding the SL600 fuel pump. I know you have an SL65 today. I have try contact Pierburg but no answers.
The OEM SL600. I have measure the pressure and it's show at idle and at 1,5 bar boost the same pressure. 3,8 bar.
Normally, the pressure should increase by the same amount from 3,8 bar to 5,3 bar. I don't want waste money to buy a new pump if the pump its not broken. The SL65 Fuel pump charts show its gone do that. From 13,5 Volt 300L/h to 20 Volt 360 L/h.
I'm 100% sure I need more fuel. Its run to lean after 4600 rpm.
Thank you.

Hello Juha, I'm not sure if this is your question but when I remember correctly SL600 and SL65 have different pump control systems. You have to find someone with access to WIS System from MB to understand the difference to the AMG. The SL600 pump will not deliver enough with the 600 fuel pressure system, so my former tech switched to SL65 Pump and it did well and safe up to 330 KM/H.The rest was in the ECU, no bigger injectors. I think if you change your injectors you really need someone who can recalibrate your ECU and who has insight how your fuel control system works.
