Need fitment help on 19" wheels for 2003 SL55
Hi Everyone,
Need some help please. I have a 2003 SL55.
Trying to find a nice 19" wheels to fit my car. I really do not want to go to 20" for 2 reasons. Ride quality will suffer and my roads in N. Indiana SUCK!
Wheel damage and bending is a real concern.
To accurately fit the wheels I need to know 3 measurements.
The Brembo ABC clearance of the brakes.
Does anyone happen to have these figures or know them already?

Don't know of clearances, but these are the wheels I have fitted. They fit perfectly along with the Michelin Pilot Sports. I have attached a couple of images below. Hope this helps :
Mandrus Manheim Wheels - Painted/Gun Metal
Front 8.5" x 19" ET 25 mm Tyres : 255/35 R 19
Rear 9.5" x 19" ET 25 mm Tyres : 285/30 R 19
Don't forget wheel bolts for Mandrus Wheels have taper and not OEM ball seats: M14 x 1.5” pitch, 60︒ Taper Seat

Trying to get measurements for fittment on Varrstoen or Vossen wheels.
Looks like the barrel of the wheels is going to be too tight to fit a 19" rim.
May have to go with 20"

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
Of course, mercedes puts 19s on these cars. Even 18s will fit. Like the guys said, 8.5 and 9.5x19 are stock wheels. most any 25-35 et will work, but I did my brabus with 30.
8, 8.5, 9 front and 9.5, 10, 10.5 rear x19 30et will work
