SL65 Hydraulic Reservoir
Hello - I'm a new member to his site. Lot's of great information here and hoping someone can help. The reservoir for the retractable top is low. Does anyone know how to refill it. I see one allen head screw in the center . Do I unscrew that to fill it?
Top hydraulics diagram shows 3 screws on top - mine only has 1.

There is no way for air to come back out as you fill it except for through the plug, so you have to fill it pretty slowly. I use a little fluid transfer pump (like a big turkey baster), and actually pull back to get vacuum in the reservoir and then let the fluid go in. Small amounts at a time, but it doesn't take much to get the level correct usually. Always cycle the top a few times to get any air out of the cylinders and re-check the level, if you've done a repair.

I'm still having a hell of a time to fill it.
I'm using what I thought was the perfect filling mechanism. A blunt needle syringe. It fits right in the hole with room to spare. So my thinking is - I'm OK I now have room for air to escape.
It still won't drain and I'm going extremely slow - less than 1ml at a time.
Do you need to create some type of pressure from the tank so it will "suck" the fluid in.

I was pulling enough on the filler to create suction, the tank would visibly bow in on the flat side. Then when I released, it would pull a little fluid in. I just repeated this until the level was good, didn't take long. It does fill very slowly if you have to wait for the air to bubble back out. Terrible design IMO, but in reality you only have to fill it once, unless you're repairing the system.
