SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Who has done 20x9/20x10.5 wheels on SL65?

2005 SL65 AMG
Who has done 20x9/20x10.5 wheels on SL65?
Need to know for sure what max size and proper offsets are.

HRE recommends:

Front - 20x9 ET25mm 5x112
Rear - 20x10.5 ET35mm 5x112

Recommended Tire size:

Front - 255/30/20
Rear - 295/25/20

However, 295/25/20 is a super weird size. If you were able to run a 305/25/20 please let me know what offset you used.

HRE's recommendation allows you to guarantee that the fitment will be correct.

With that said, we've used an 11" wide wheel on a 305 before with the Mercedes SL.

no I have not. How do you feel about a 305 on a 10.5 inch wheel?

I have 305 tires on a 10.5" rim on a SL55. Also lowered via lowering links & Star. No rubbing issues at all.

It's just going to look like a lot of tire on the wheel, especially if you use a tire that runs wide like the Michelin's.

Current: C217 V12TT AMG Previously: C55 AMG, SL65 AMG
Search my posts for the setup I used to run, it was 305's in the back. With the right offsets, you'll barely clear with the fender on the outside and strut on the inside. Looked badass...

I was running 305s on an 11 inch ADV wheel on my car. I had zero issues with it lowered using links.

What offset?

I can't find a 20x11 ADV 5.1s.
