Just bought a 2004 SL55 completely stock with 70k miles and in amazing condition.
It’s a 4th car that I just wanted to have and will get driven maybe 2-3k miles per year. So my question is does the 76mm SC pulley require all the cooling mods In order to safely add power or can I do just the pulley for my use case of limited driving and the occasional highway pull or roll race?

Yes we'd recommend adding cooling to your set up if you upgrade to a 76mm. The best solution would be one of our split cooling kits >> available here

What is the Killer Chiller? I saw the description on your site that says that it lowers temps, but what is it? I looks like a reservoir with hoses and fittings.

It's a essentially a "refrigerated heat exchanger" that piggybacks off your A/C system
I have a 76mm pulley on an 08 SL55. If you live in warm weather your IAT's at 75 mph cruise will be above 95 degrees, the point at which the ECU will begin pulling timing. In plain words, a stock cooling system will deliver startting IAT's of 30-35 degress above ambient.
Therefore, if you want full power all the time in warm climates, a KC is a must. Split coolling systems alone will not get you there, I know, I have both.
