SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: sl55 amg limp mode
On a serious note plug it into a OBDII reader that works with Mercedes Benz and see what it says. A lot of things can cause these things to go into limp mode. If you have an Advanced Auto(or Autozone) I think they'll hook it up for free and tell you the codes.

You can also try this..
All auxiliary must be off (radio, lights.aircon, etc) no electrical drains or CAN signals can be triggered during the process.
Turn the Key to the "on" position (the position right before you start your )
Press and hold your gas pedal down for like 5 to 10 seconds
Turn to "off" position (dont remove the ) and then release the gas pedal.
than wait at least 2, if not 3 minutes, for the system to reset.
Though I doubt the later will solve anything but it won't hurt.

Should I try replacing the Accelerator Pedal Assembly or the TPS (throttle position sensor)?
Thank you!

It's not throwing any warning symbols, though... will a reader still pick up a code?? By the time I slow down to ~20 mph, the problem seemingly resolves itself and I'm good to go again with my 500 hp.
