SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL65 AMG 2005 Cranking but Won't Start

SL65 AMG 2005 Cranking but Won't Start
Just got the car back from the dealer in the spring after fixing a constant limp mode problem, which they had the car for over a year... Yes I know, a whole year...
Now in the insane heat of July, we start getting an ABS malfunction, but nothing really comes of it until the beginning of August. We go to start it and it starts, idles rough and stalls immediately upon accelerating, then it will just crank but not start at all. I left it for an hour then came back and all I had was a loud fan, no cranking and ABS & ESP malfunction, noticed the voltage on both batteries was a little low, so I charged them up over the course of a couple nights. Still same problem, did some basic troubleshooting and found that fuse 44 had blown (ECU Power), replaced that now I'm back at cranking but won't start. From what I'm reading it could be the front SAM, ECU or the Crank Position Sensor.
Now where the car is parked in my garage, backing onto a narrow laneway, I can't get it towed out. Is my best bet to replace the CPS and try from there?
Many Thanks

Crank and no fire sounds like a faulty CPS. Can't speak to the other symptoms. Good-luck.

Alright so $200 later I installed a new CPS and still no fire, still have an ABS/ESP malfunction on the dash. OBD2 reader says no trouble codes and when I've finished cranking I have a very strong smell of gas in the garage.
Any suggestions??

Could be ignition related i.e. coils or transformer.

Fuel pump? I had the same issues last year on my SL55 with 56K miles. Replaced CPS and no joy. Flat bedded to dealer for diagnostic - new fuel pump and filter. Runs great.

MBWorld Fanatic!
The fact that you blew a fuse for the ECU makes me think you have a bad M/E. I'd try to scan it with a real scanner, generic OBD2 readers are not very good with MB's diagnostic system.
