First SL 65 in U.S. arrives today
The first SL 65 will be arriving at New Country Motors in Hartford, CT, to be auctioned off to benefit the Heart Association tomorrow.
Current bid is $197K. The lucky winner can't drive it till July 15 when it becomes legal model year. Hope to post pics for you guys.

We're betting $225.
Two years ago when the hot car was the SL500, it was a bare car at 87K sticker and it went for 125K.
Last year they auctioned off the SL55 and it was more reasonablely sold around 135.

$225k is still nothing special.
my dealer told me that the price of SL65 AMG is almost $300k [actual Euro/USD rate] + options. Thats MSRP for almost whole Europe...
I've said it and i say it again - US is beautiful country where AMGs are cheap... even cheaper than at factory

This is a great opportunity for someone. The winning bidder would write two checks, one to the dealer for net cost (well under invoice) on the car plus ttl, and the rest will be made out to the American Heart Association. As mentioned the car can not be picked up until July 15th. This auction will certainly benefit a worthy cause. Anyone wishing further details should contact the dealer today.
