Unhappy Help
Hey my supercharger pully wasn't engaging and I replace the pully itself and still doesn't

anyone have any idea why? I have a video of it.


05 SL55 AMG.

There is a magnet that triggers the engagement of the pulley. Yours may be bad? Bad connection?

Good stuff here. Use the "translate this page" button on your browser address bar to better understand. Helhans website is a great private website and I find it to be an invaluable source of information.

You're wanting section 3.2 Connections Magnetic Coupling

http://hehlhans.de/motorg55-7.htm

If you have STAR/DAS/Xentry you can check the magnetic coupler under the Motor Electronics section. It will be either controls or actuations; I don't recall at the moment.

If you have STAR the on/off may be reversed it was on mine , activating the magnet off actually turned it on/energizing it FYI

This video is meaningless, since on no account will the supercharger engage on a stationary vehicle.

Presuming the compressor is not engaging, then at the engine ECU I would measure the voltage on its control signal using a multimeter.

I'll try to check with STAR and see because im keep losing and power and it comes back, had the problem before I replace with a new pully still don't know what causes this
