Hey Guys,
I know that you might hate seeing posts like this from a "stealership", but we have a Black/Black SL65 available. The car has Distronic, Parktronic, Keyless Go and Tyre Pressure Monitor with an MSRP of $188,590. Our management team has a mark-up on this one of $40k, but I think about 1/4 of that will buy the car on a lease agreement. You might think less of me after this one
, but I have pics of the car below. Just in case there is someone out there that might be interested, please let me know and we can arrange nationwide shipping!!

I paid sticker for mine but was on the list for a long time..... I don't know about getting ANY SL65 for sticker unless you are planning to wait. I know a couple of people that paid sticker (on the list very early) and a couple that have not (just would not wait.)

I called the salesman you suggested. They're currently asking $60K over sticker, but "are willing to negotiate".
My local dealer has a car they're offering for $25K over, and that price may change as time passes.

Are you serious ? 60.000 USD above list price ( that's 50.000 €)!! for a stock SL65 ?? and then they are talking about "willing to negotiate" ---- ??? it is really a crazy market in the States, Sorry !
I would tell them "ok, list price minus 2% for cash payment, and I DO NOT REPORT your company to Merceds Benz - Daimler Chrysler" ..... or are these dealers not MB - dealers ???
THIS would not happen here in good old Europe - really ! Even the demand is higher than in the US, and people are waiting for 18 month now - but if one of the MB dealers would do this - they would .........

I am dead serious. They're smoking crack, for the most part, and I think I could probably get a car -today- for $15K over sticker. However, I intend to find someone willing to sell for MSRP, even if it means waiting a year.
You guys have it pretty good if the dealers don't mark up cars!

One finds that there is not a listing for the Designo option on the SL65!
I'll trip on down there early next week to see for myself.

omg thats nuts, 60k over sticker.
for that kinda money you can basically buy a c55 amg, of course its nothing compared to the sl65, but still..that markup you can get a pretty nice car with it.
For 60k, you can get soooooo many options with the sl65..not like it really needs any extra stuff, but you can make it look even more tight.

Completely wrong .... there are not enough options on the SL65 ( at least here in France) to use that amount ..... hihi
Honestly I think it is comletely crazy to pay that much more for a car ! Normally it is the other way around .........

almost like here, in my country... the only difference is that i would negotiate from MSRP, and surely [at this price level] get 3-4% [maybe 5] discount or several bonuses.
But in the other hand-MSRP for the SL65 in Europe is higher than in US [in Poland for ex. $315 000=1 150 000 PLN - Yes MSRP!!]
My advice-wait several weeks or search another offer.

Was at Escondido today, and there is no such animal, and never was with the Designo option.
Why? That RPO is not an option for the SL 65.
They do have a couple of Silver numbers coming, but at the customary "whatever the market will bare," I'll not be in the market for one.
