Copying Navigation CD
Just got new NAV CD's. In the past I made a copy to use in the car (protect the original from heat, abuse, etc.). The new 2004 version won't copy using Nero6. Many bad sectors. Tried BlindWrite 5 automatic setting, didn't work. Am going to try BlindWrite with bad sector profile next. Any experience with this? Any tips? Can't believe they'd copy protect this, not exactly a Metallica CD.

I have Roxio EZ CD Creator and it worked like a charm. Now my 'G' has discs too!

2003 SL55 2007 S550
Just got a working copy of 1-2004 disc 1. Win2K Server, SP4. Alcohol 120, USB 2.0 LiteON LTR-52327SX. Used SafeDisc 2/3 profile, 8X write speed. Maxell 700 MB CD-R 40X media.

Blindwrite 5.24 did not work with this hardware or media.

when i bought mine, i just used nero6 and it worked, oh btw it was a dvd no cd.. i just keep my original in it's package safe at home and use the copied dvd in my car

hey this is dev from dubai. i bought an second hand sl55 recently and the navigation system doesnt work. If any one could pass it to me it would be great.

Does MB update the CD under warranty? I've got a 2003 SL55 but the info seems dated.

mark: the 03 sl55 has a cd based nav system. model year 04+ have dvd based systems. dvd shrink works great too
