Door speaker
It appears I have a blown passenger side door speaker. Has anyone else replaced their door speakers on ‘09 SL63 and if so did you stick with OEM or aftermarket? If I stick with OEM I hope to find one on eBay and save lots of $$.

Not sure of the ohm rating on your particular speaker, but many oem speakers have 2 ohm rating. Most aftermarket speakers are 4ohm which will produce sound, but will produce much less sound than the 4 ohm at a given volume level.
if it is a 2 ohm, they are harder to find than the four ohm. When I have replaced factory speakers with aftermarket ones (which I have done a lot), I almost always have to modify something usually the mount and definitely the wiring so please take that into consideration.

Just sold my '11 Porsche TurboS cab for an '03 SL55!
There's one on eBay for $50. Couldn't "paste" the link, but search on the seller who is 911_doctor, or the part number that appears to be 230 820 1002.

Go OEM
Go with OEM unless you want to replace the amp, head unit and all the other speakers. Bose are 0.5 ohm impedance and other speakers will not sound correct and may damage the amp.

Dealership gave me a part number but when I cross reference it the eBay listings it says it won’t fit ‘09 and does fit ‘11, ‘12. I’m going back to dealer to double check the part number for ‘09.
