SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: RENNtech S600 vs stock SL65

RENNtech S600 vs stock SL65
First off, I haven't conducted this experiment head-to-head YET. It is however just a matter of time
The point of this post, however: I have at this point logged data from acceleration runs in both cars. Here's the data I have gathered:
S600 SL65 SL65
Time MPH MPH MPH
1 20 17
2 41 28 26
3 54 38 39 [wheelspin]
4 60 55 53
5 71 68 66
6 78 78 77
7 87 86 86
8 94 97 95
9 101 105 103
10 104
11 111
12 116
This chart plots speed vs time for both the S600 and SL65. You can see that the S600 gets off the line much better thanks to its drag radials. However, once both cars are moving the SL65 significantly outaccelerates the S600. For example, at 4 seconds the S has a 5-7 mph advantage over the SL. At 9 seconds however the SL has a 2-4 mph advantage. This is a very significant difference in the rate of acceleration. It will be interesting to see how this plays out at the dragstrip.
Next up: a head-to-head match on the street

I live in Sacto, if you need a driver for one of your cars... Lets just say you wouldn't have to twist my arm. It sounds like the stock 65 should run nearly as quick as your 600's 11.6 (on street tires!).

Best trap speed ever on the S600 was 121.3 on a cool evening. 119 - 120 is more typical. With the SL on street tires I doubt I'll be able to keep it floored in 1st, so the trap speed difference will be less than one would expect - the interesting thing will be to look at the 1/8 and 1/4 mile trap speeds.
Now, on the 23rd I'll be on drag radials, and should be able to keep it pinned. THAT should yield some quick runs.
