SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL55 P030 Option

SL55 P030 Option
I have a 2007 SL55 with P30 package but it does not have option 251 Increased speed for NAFTA. I thought that I read someplace that P30 increased speed limit from 155 to 186, but I know from personal experience that my car cuts out 155-160mph. I am interested in confirmation that 251 is needed to increase speed limiter. Thanks in advance.

hahahaha, yea or take it to a performance tuner and have them delete the electronic limiter, that's what I did and man does it pull hard above 156mph!

I have floored it and it cut out at 155-160. I have been trying to determine the number of P30s and it looks like maybe 15% from what I can tell. Do you have numbers for each year? Also, I have a data sheet for a 2006 P30 which has option 251 on the build sheet. I can provide vin # if you like. I would really like to see the numbers you have for the P30 option. Thanks
