Talking My SL65 isn't running today...

... because its engine ECU is in a different state getting reflashed for more BOOOOOST.

I'll have the ECU back on Saturday if all goes as planned. Details & driving impressions to follow.

Everyone strap on to their real estate. I have a very good source that tells me the rotation of the earth is about to speed up 20%.

Treynor, did you dyno the stock 65 engine? I'm anxious to know how it compares with Renntech 600 engines that dyno out to about 525 RWHP. Thanks.

A stock SL65 is laying down 525 at the rear wheels.

Yep, all the dyno's I have seen for SL65s are in the 510-525 range. The ECU mods don't pick up a huge amount of top end HP (although my car may be a mutant given its 124-125mph trap speeds) but they add a lot of midrange where it counts for the street.

I should have the ECU back tomorrow

Treynor and Schiznick, that’s a pleasing result for me, since it means that the Renntech 600 I’m fond of driving really is a 600 HP car! I’m surprised the 65, with its extra displacement and larger turbo compressor wheels, isn’t tuned to produce more than 525 RWHP. They must be very conservative to save the transmission.
