McLaren tuned SL55
McLaren tuned SL55.
Does McLaren tune AMG cars?
On the other side it says Track Certified
On the fenders, under the normal kompressor V8 markings it also said McLaren tuned.
spotted this in South FL.

I don't think McLaren and Mercedes are on the best of terms. The owner of McLaren, Ron Dennis, has an ego the size of the Western Hempishere which doesn't sit well with the entrenched way of doing things over in Stuttgart. A recent interview with him saw him being all politically correct but I imagine he's the first to throw his toys out of the pram (baby carriage) when he doesn't get his way.
The smaller car has been cancelled and there were fundamental differences between them during the development of the SLR. I can't believe they would be the slightest bit interested in messing with SL55s. It's possible this SL55 owner has fitted some parts from an SLR (given the common engine DNA) but it seems unlikely.

McLaren did tune AMG cars in very limited numbers awhile ago, not sure if they still are doing this, I would doubt it.
However there was such a thing as a C43 AMG McLaren which has/had 390bhp in stock form from McLaren.

I've already got a thing about standard fake badging ie, SL55 badges on a SL350,etc.
But... if it is actually the case, trying to tease other owners and generally confuse people with a fake tuning badges, that takes the cake....sheesh!
If that's not the case I definitely want to know more...

I like the Volvo V70R and S60R - oh, and the AMG SL55 or SL65

As for the car... ummm, the stickers look a little cheesy (especially "track certified") IMHO.

LMAO.....i know what a snowbird is, thanks. I have to deal them on the highways every day around this time of year. And thanks for explaining what a snowbird is to the people who arent from Florida who may not know what they are.
I was referring to McLaren being anywhere near Quebec....sorry maybe i should have specified.
