Does anyone feel the "V8 Kompressor" badges bread-up the look? I feel they break up the look of the vehicle, and will have them removed upon delivery, whenever that will be.

What about a factory phone? I think it's pointless to have buttons on the wheel which don't do anything. Not sure how easy it will be to integrate an XYZ phone into the car's systems. Is linguatronic available in the US (voice operated CD/phone)?

My main omissions are distronic, fire ext, roof prep and TV tuner. The panorama roof is not an option here, don't know why.

How interesting. The TV tuner is not an option in the states, but the pano roof is, and visa-versa for Europe!

As for wheels, I couldn't decide between the multi-spoke and the 5 spoke, so will be having a set of each to swap them around at tyre change time (probably a frequent event with this car). I'll then send the spare set away for refurb to take care of lifting lacquer and stone chips.

My SL600 has V12 badges on and I agree they're a bit tacky. I think they will be just stuck on, just hope they don't pull the paint off which is what happened with a Ferrari I had when I removed the stick-on licence plate....

Badges are easily removed with dental floss, and a blow dryer. Patience is needed however, when removing. The residual "sticky stuff" may be removed with cleaners that most detail shops have in stock.

I customized mine back in late May
Black/Charcoal Interior
Bi Xenon
Wood trim (NOT Stainless Steel)
5 Spoke Rims
Parktronic
Motorola Phone
Cover
I opted not to get the Panaramic roof because I thought it was a waste and I still dont understand the point of Distronic - if you cant tell how close you are to the care in front of you, you should not be driving this car!
