I'm curious about what your dealer is charging or has that been discussed? Do they want over MSRP?

What does pre-ordered mean? There isn't even pricing available and my dealer tells me it's not possible to order yet as books not even open...

There is no such thing as 'pre-order.' Simply means some salesperson's verbally committed to giving you an allocation.

They're open. Our dealership was given 3 SL63 allocations so far.

18' AMG GT-C Roadster
R231 (SL63) just finished production
Got word from my dealer that my car has finished production on 4/6/2022.
It is now waiting to be shipped from Germany.

Its been waiting for shipment for about 2 months now. Now sure what is the hold up.
Has anyone gotten an ETA or better yet taken delivery of their R231 ?

Here is my build spec.

There was a pre-order in Canada--There was a choice of any of 6 pre-equipped--altered by colours and equipment packaging back last December--Those vehicles as well as mine are now - built-on the dock in Germany awaiting approval and then shipped to Canada for August release--Pricing just released a week or so back.

The extended night package is going to give more black accents. Badging will be black as well as a darker hue to headlight and taillights.

So much for the USA July release--the potential August release in Canada I gather is also in doubt--do know the car is built- on a dock or ship and have a VIN but thats it!
