Im looking for a Service/Repair Manual like the Bentley Publishing books or Chilton (you get the point). Something to help us with out with doing out own servicing on our own cars. Does anyone know of a book, CD, of any source that can help us with this? Just thought I post on here to see if anyone on here knew of one.
Thanks
Thanks

They don't really make any good paper manuals. But you can order the CD repair manual threw Mercedes.

Thanks for the info. I was figuring they wouldnt have any good ones but was really trying to push away from going to the dealer for it. I guess I have no choice. You wouldnt happen to know about how much they charge for it do you?

I use alldatatadiy.com. It is a subscription service, which I generally avoid, but I needed detailed electrical diagrams and they have them.

How did you find there information on there to be? Was it pretty accurate and does it get really into detail on things? I have been told by multiple people to use http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/ but than again that goes back to you have to subscribe to it which I really dont want to do. I believe MB has the service manual on CD for the SLK's but also looking for one for the SL's as well which I had no luck with as well.

I've found it to be generally quite good. The source material is from Mercedes. The electrical diagrams, which I use the most, have been excellent. There is a search function. I've occasionally been frustrated in trying to find specific information.

I have the Cd repair manual from Mercedes. It has all the information on it. I think I paid around $125 for it. Just call your local dealership and they will give you the phone number to order it.

About how much do you pay for it? Is it something you pay monthly, yearly, or whenever you need to log on?

Prices are on their web site, but its $25 per year, $15 for next vehicle. They offered me $15 renewal the 2nd year and recently offered me $30 for 5 years which I took as I tend to keep vehicles for a while.Originally Posted by johnny5

Sorry about that. I believe alldata is for professional service shops and alldatadiy is for private parties. The terms of use and rates are probably different - I haven't really checked.Originally Posted by scbysnx
