No, I just called out the color of my interior (anthracite) and they shipped the correct paint. They know our colors by name or Mercedes interior color code number.

Did you dis-assemble the console? How did you apply the paint?
Spray? Brush? Roller?

I used a tuft of terry cloth towel (the nap of the towel helped with the texture) and just dabbed it on; kind of like sponge painting, and just blended it in. I didn't take anything apart and it took about 10 minutes.

This is exactly how my center console looks...before your makeover, I mean:-). What exactly did you order? We are a military family stationed in Korea so I need to get the order right the first time. Thanks for any information you can provide. A little infor: I have the SLK 230 too; it's silver with charcoal/black, leather interior. I have the severe wearing away on the center console (as I mentioned above) and I have scratches on the door handles and glove box. Not major but they give the appearance of white scratches because the finish is black plastic. Do you think the product would fix that too?
