You had this car for HOW long, a month?

Maybe you should stick to the bus for now.

No kidding, huh?

When you get the S430 can you PM me the color and license plate number so that I can stay the hell away from you!

Amazing crash...seems like you went over the hill and flipped or something?!!

Well, If you are in Canada, dunno if you are
ICBC might try to cover your fixes as long as the engine is still "fixable" to a certain extend

but you have such high miles on that car, so maybe not

Btw, I think the S430 is awesome choice. I was driving one,too

This is what happened: the tires in the back were bald, at spots, there were absolutely no tread remaining. I just got the car inspected 1000 miles ago and the tires were in near 100% condition. I also brought it into a MB dealership about 300 miles before and I periodically checked the tread and so did my friends. The tread on these tires went so damn quick b/c i live in CT where theres snow all over the place and the ASR blinks about 1/4 of the time i drive. so i ended up finishing a regular turn, the tires slipped, went into snowbank, richoted 2 trees, flipped over right into someones driveway thank god the driveway was there. otherwise the car wouldve been smashed into trees. airbags did not deploy, i think that is b/c there was no considerable front impact damage, just everywhere else, i am fine, i had a tiny scratch on my head thats 90% healed now, and some glass tiny cuts in my hand which is all healed now, basically i would say i walked away without a scratch. insurance is paying 31K for the car, i only payed 26K for it with taxes.

You're saying the tires went from "near 100%", to bald, in 1,000 miles?

"so i ended up finishing a regular turn, the tires slipped, went into snowbank, richoted 2 trees, flipped over right into someones driveway "

Do you know how much momentum you must have had to have a car richochet off of 2 trees then flip over, after a "regular turn"??

Sounds like a crock to me. But as long as the insurance company believed it, that's all that matters right?

wow, that's too bad, glad you are OK, somewhat amazing story, almost unbelivable, going thru tires in 1000 miles, but I guess it could happen if it happen to you.

I thought those lokked like Connecticut State Troopers. The blue stripe down the pants gave it away. That will teach you to drive your benz in the snow. Just do what I did...go out and buy yourself an ML. No way I"m taking the CLK out in the winter we've been having. This winter has sucked so far!!!

Go Huskies!!!!!!

dirty cop gave me a complaint ticket for trav. too fast and op. with unsafe tires. i dont care about the 138$, i just dont want the driving record, so plead not guilty. Isn't it nice to lucky to be alive after flipping ur car over and crashing, and have an officer give u a ticket?
