I lowered mine. I didn't lower it myself due to the fact that you need a number of tools including a Mercedes Spring compressor in order to do it. It took about 3.5 hours by a specialty race shop to install mine.

I have Schatz springs that lowered my car in combination with #1 pads all around a total of 2 inches. Schatz spring are made by H&R to Schatz specifications and are available for under $200 from www.myroadster.net , just ask for Jerry.

Its is not recommened DIY job. It involves lifting the car, since the SLK is much smaller than the W210/202/220 and therefore has less space and smaller wheel whells.

Install cost me around 100.00

i think about to get the h&r cup kit for my slk , but I m afraid of it is not worth to get it , since the cup kit is pretty expensive , i wonder to take the h&r springs would be good enough

20 CM?? iguess you mean 2 cm.

but since 1 inch 2.5 cm your car would be lowered 'bout 3.5 cm

just to clarify for all metric users on this forum!

Btw your car looks great!

Im thinking about lowering mine to! (just installed 18" wheels)

I could recommend H&Rs Cup Kit the comfort in the car is much better and it lowers more than the H&R springs. Looks good with 18" Carlsson 2/5 brilliant edition wheels

More pics of the car when all modifications are done

I just bought my H&R for my SLK230, I have the cupkit for my CLK430 and love it, and was really thinking about getting it for the SLk, but I figure I don't really drive the SLK that much, so just the spring would do... saves me some money for other mods...
