Did anyone here installed aftermarket HID on their slk?

i have the aftermarket hid kit on my car
got it 2 yrs ago , cdn$750 ( total price with installation ) , from S28 , in Pacific mall

Thanx Supra, do you have some pic of installation of those HID in your SLK (where the ballast go, etc..)
Also, do you know what that differece is for these different HID
4300K, 5500K, 6000K? Which one do you have?

oh ... sry , i dun have those pics

i think mine is 6000K , and the kit has 8000K , even over 10,000K now
more K = more bright , i believe

more k actually doesn't mean more light. K refers to the color temperature of the light. Once you start gettting over 6000k, the light is bluer but you actually have less light. Lumens would be a more accurate measure of brightness. :0)

mine is 8000K and they are actually past the blue spectrum, more like purple... my fog lights are 4250K standard HID therefore more white/blueish...






here is a picture comapring the standard mercedes HID to my 8000K kit...
