So I just bought a cd changer...Need trunk pictures!

I bought a cd changer for my 00 SLK. Well the cd changer is compatible with my car but I got a glovebox harness instead of a trunk one. Still not to big of a deal. I got the CD changer for $256 pretty good deal if you ask me. So with that said I would like to see some pictures of people that have the trunk mount with the bracket and without the bracket (ex. velcro, or some other means). Thanks alot for your help. I will be attempting the install this weekend. I am aware of the guide at www.slk32.com and that is what I will be going off of. I am just not to sure how I am going to mount it.

Thats a very nice install but the reason I like mine near the outer edge is that it is easy to access even with the top down.

Okay I just went outside and took some, yes I know.....I neglect my trunk badly, lol Mine isn't connected anymore because I have an aftermarket deck, but it's right where Mercedes installed it!

Here's one with the protective thing closed

I have the same bracket on mine. Seems like you would stand the changer up (as how it would sit in the car) and slide that bracket down onto it (think of it as sort of a case for the changer) and the side with the holes faces the wall it would be attached to.

Install CD Changer

Download the phone bulletin here:

http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm

The official CD changer installation procedure is in there as well (at least it is for the 2001)

Left side, goes in where the telephone equipment would fit if you had it.

Very easy access with the top down and steals way less trunk space than stock.

I don't have a photo to post but I turned my stock changer around (simple to do) and now I can access the cartridge with the top down.

I am looking for a an audio system to replace my stock one. I want the replacement to have an external jack to use my iPod, have a single CD slot, connect to the stock changer. Any ideas?

That's a C/CLK bracket (W202/W208).

Won't work for SLK.
