slk driving

hey guys after driving my slk350 for a while, i dont really like how it feels when i drive it, however i think its my very own slk350 thats causing the trouble. when i drive any other benz (even my old slk320), the gas pedal is very sensitive and steering wheels are very sensitive as well. but on my slk350 its very stiff. anyone else experiencing this?

Check your front tire pressure, I let my tires down quite a lot for the track the steering does get quite stiff until I warm the tyres up. Its suprising how much of a difference it can make.

I was a bit shocked at how heavy the steering was when I picked my car up (never got to test drive a '55 before I bought it). Either I've got used to it, or the steering has loosened up with break-in. Now it feels great. Also, as Easty said, tire pressure makes a big difference.

My experience is that the steering on my 350 is one of the many excellent qualities of the car.
And yes, tire pressure is very important. Just checked mine yesterday and had one front tire about 5 lbs. low. The steering had been pulling a bit and with the correct pressure, all was fine.
Interestingly, I used to like the steering on my wife's C320. Now that I'm used to my 350, her steering seems heavy and sluggish.

We get used to what we drive most often. I drive a Ford Crown Vic for my job and I am so used to the way it drives, I dont think anythink of it. Well I was just on vacation so I didnt drive it even once for 12 days, and only drove my SLK. When I got back into the Vic, it was like driving a cruise ship. Slow acceleration, horrible handling etc. After a few days, I didnt notice how bad it was anymore. The SLK would make a lot of cars seem inferior if you drive it enough.

hm , im just saying how when i hit the gas pedal it doesnt seem like it goes fast, when i had my s550 in for nightvision installation they gave me a courtesy C class, the c280 and it even felt a lot beter than my slk350. The c280 was smooth and the steering was very sensitive, the gas pedal was very sensitive as well. Everything on this slk350 is very stiff. I really dont know if its just my slk350, when i took it to the dealer they said it was fine. i'm So confused

There's probably something wrong with yours, I've also had a c280 for a loaner before and had it for a full day, it felt good but nothing like the SLK.
