KILL STORY: IS300 goes down hard to the SLK350

hey boys.

Well I was driving tonight and all of a sudden this kid in his orange IS300 comes up to me and starts getting aggressive. so he guns it first and I keep up to try and get good positioning for the race. I pass him slightly then he guns it from about 3-4 cars back and tries to do a flyby but i see him coming and gun it right away. he pulls to about 1 car ahead at around 50 then i reel him in and blow buy him and run away to about 4-5 car lengths by 85. Needless to say he was beaten pretty bad and just so the punk kid never tried to race a benz again I threw on the hazards to throw salt in the wounds (usually i don't condone hazards but this little kid was asking for it lol ). Also at the end of the run there was a long right sweeper and the car took the turn at 85 easy, i was amazing how well these 350s are planted in the curves, it has to be one of the sportiest benzes availible.

anyways just wanted to share my story ttyl boys

Definlty no surprise there, the slk 350 has almost all advantages in your favor( Hp, torque, weight, handling, etc) . I never do understand why cars that know they cant take you, try to race. At least you showed him not to underestimate an slk

good story although racing is stupid, but the feeling of winning it is priceless.

A non-modded IS300 has no chance. Alot of kids don't really care whether they lose or win, they just want to see how fast other ppl's rides are compared to theirs. Another thing is with teenager boys, they think with an new exhaust, air intake, ecu, they will keep up with most cars, they find after several @ss whooping that isn't the case. The same kid with the IS300 is probably on the lexus forum right now, saying that he wanted a friendly race with a SLK350 to see how fast they were but the arrogant benz owner has the nerve to flash his hazards after he'd barely pass me Anyway, the SLK is the sportiest car benz make, they need to make more. btw, great kill.

ya true. I don't condone street racing either (i quite many years ago). but this damn kid was just asking for it haha so i had to put him in his place. ya thats true, some do try and race stupid fast cars. but the way this kid behaved just pissed me off. normally I don't care, but this one was really pestering me so i had to do it.

Let this serve as a warning to you for racing.

It is VERY GRAPHIC if you are offended by emergency services pictures do not view. There were 2 people killed in Muircelago crash.

Be safe

OMG!

I hope they passed before the fire started. That's one reason I take my high speeds to the track. One might think I'm tough on my vehicle, but the fact is the track is probably the safest place for both and car and driver.

Indeed, be safe!

At medium freeway speeds, it's not too dangerous. Word of warning though...beware of the IS350's, new Maximas, and the new Mustang GT's. They are a force to contend with. I had my @ss handed to me by a stock Mustang GT (testament to why having a sub in the trunk and heavy 19's will affect acceleration). Also, I was surprised a turbo Integra kept up with me on 1st and 2nd, but at 3rd (my money gear), I left him behind like a red-headed stepchild.

If you consider yourself more mature than that kid just because you drive the more expensive car, you proved yourself wrong. I just hope I'll never encounter either one of you on a public road.

MB SLK 350 with pathetic amg parts
I've only driven a few times in my new slk 350 and I must admit I've raced at the lights a few times. I am 23 and even though thats not an excuse I have resisted many opportunities to race other drivers.

this is my record so far, out of three races I have won against,

1. Porsche boxter S, recent model
2. Subaru Sti 2006 model
3. Bmw 330ci.

But now after seeing that lamborghini accident above, i dont think I will want to race anything again.

thank you for showing me the result of cause and effect in the worst case scenario.

with regards,

j

Ok, this is very ugly, but is that snow I see on the ground? Driving fast in a snowy enviorment, hell DRIVING A LAMBORGHINI with snow on the ground gets you an instant invitation for a darwin award.

No it isn't snow, it's foam which the fire crews sprayed to put out the blaze.

From time to time it doesnt hurt to see what happens when a person goes too far. We get to see actors blowing things up all the time but hardly ever see what happens at the other end .... so in context these images in that link are a good reminder of what reality is.

I can tell you that the smell is far worse than the photos could ever be. Not exactly something you would forget.

Seeing as most fire / police / ambulance / coroner staff attend these scenes on a regular basis you might want to cut them some slack when they get really pissed off at you for being an idiot on the roads and get you cited.

Road racing should only ever be done by Thelma and Louise. They had the right idea in the end !

I fail to see why everything in this world needs to be free of consequences.

It is bluntly obvious that the photos in that link completely dispute the idea that life is without consequence. The Murcielago comes equipped with AWD, so it can be driven in slippery conditions, but racing it in snow is absurd. I am not squemish by any means, but that was very difficult to view for me. Can we please stop discussing the smell or anymore gruesome details, those were human beings in that car.

I made it abundantly clear that if you were likely to be offended by emergency services photographs then you should not enter. As other people have said this is reality of what the outcome of your actions can be.

It is not SNOW in the pictures, it is foam used to extinguish the flames. Look closer at some of the pictures and you will see the earth around the accident scene.

No one thinks it will happen to them. That's one issue. How about this happening to a innocent family riding down the road doing the speed limit. Leave racing to the professionals and those non professionals at racing facilities.

i totally agree. only on closed course venues. yet even here, we perpetuate
the idea that it's okay by virtue of the KILL STORIES. it glamorizes it.... and
encourages it. i've raced cars and motorcycles and at a certain point, you
know that street racing invariably leads to innocents being affected. and
nearly always....it's the ubiquitous "...whoops..." that fails miserably to excuse
the action.
