I wish i could lower it more. The stock Sports suspension lowers it a bit, and the wheels make it look lower too.

If i lower it any more i will be hitting the ground too much with the new front spoiler, which is already an issue in NYC. Never mind the speed bumps or driveways.

Nice NG4L, I understand why your SLK is not lowered, but lowering will look much better. The front lip spoiler looks great, when you paint the mesh, you should paint the MB badge black too, will give you the stealth look. The quad tips is also a nice compiment. Thanks for sharing the pics.

noregret4life, Did you smoke those lights yourself? Looks really sweet! I have a black R170 and I want to do something like that too.

Ynot, what would you use to paint the MB badge? I'm pretty nervous about painting anything on my car myself but after seeing all your rides I think I'm gonna risk it!

Wow, I'm not feeling those taillights. The front lip is ok...though the mesh doesn't match the stock grill so it stands out too much. I would have gone with the lowering and not the lip if that was the issue. The aerowings are ok, but if anything you should try to find CF ones since you're so into the black look.

I'm not sure, ck1220k painted his, he should be able to provide an answer, I would do it if I had a black car, it'll look strange with my silver.

slktyperice: CF hood fins will match black perfectly, NG4L, you should consider getting this done.

Love the ideas everyone... will be looking into the CF aerowings.

Thanks for the feedback.

Oh one other thing i wanted to let you know about the tail lights. They are see through just as they were stock. My camera just didn't pic that up due to Focus. So they are not just straght black as they look in the pics. You can see through them and there is some red still.

noregret..., I don't care for the satin aerowings. I think the polished ones look better on a black car although, with your "very black" theme I think that black aerowings might look interesting. Just my opinion.

HAHA... that would be my front missle launcher... James bond likes to keep his behind the tail lights, i like mine front and center... LOL

That would be the front bumper camera with IR LEDs around it. It helps with the low curbes and with parking.

Thanks...

I would not be able to post a "how-to" on my smoked tail lights because they were done at a Performance Shop... Sorry.

But i can tell you, that it is not the cheap spray on stuff for $30 at the local store. As far as i know on the subject, they fine-sand them down, then mix a clearcoat paint with black, and layer it to get the desired tint effect. So its painted just as any other body part would be.

Another update on the tail lights: The pictures above were taken PRE-Wash and PRE-Wax after the car came back from the shop. Now that i had a chance to wash it and wax, the tail lights apear to have lightened up just slightly. So now they have a light tint of red showing through. Just as i wanted them and are see through.

Congratulations on the upgrades but to be honest, the rims, lip and tinted tail-lights are all ugly and it certainly makes your Mercedes cheap. Its time to change it back. omg.

It's a shame NoRegret4Life has to "de-mod" his SLK just because YOU don't like it. How about a little Aretha Franklin "R-E-S-P-E-C-T".

I think (at least I hope) he was kidding based on looking at his ride.
