SLK/R171: "no holes" license plate install!!

"no holes" license plate install!!
i know this might look fugly.. but i got a tickets for no plate (2 reqs) so i think this is the only way to go

How did you do that?. Is the plate connected to the tow hook? I see no holes on the front bumper. A friend of mine with a SLK350 has for some reason 5 holes for the front plate. I feel for you and everyone in Cali for the strict law of front plates. In Connecticut it's required as well but rarely enforced(thankfully).

There is a towing hook over there.

SLK55///AMG The MONSTER on the block
A+ for innovation. I just couldn't live with the plate off center. Virginia also requires front and rear plates. I have personalized plates on all our cars, it eases the pain.

here is the funny convo at the police department
Officer: that's a beautiful car.. why put front license plate on it
me: i know but that's what i got written up for
Officer: Back when i live in Mississippi they don't require front plate, btw, why dont' you have front plate stickers?
me: Don't you only get stickers for the rear plate only? (and i show him the other car in the parking lot, which turn out only rear has stickers)

. Shouldn't he know the law about having a sticker only on the back plate?

I like the look!! Would you please post details about the hardware you used? What type of bolt/fastener did you use to attach the plate to the tow hook hole? What is the bracket that you have attached to the back of the plate frame?
